Hi I'm Becky

I grew up in a small town in NC. I love the classics up through modern entertainment: books, music, and movies. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of six kids. I am a cancer survivor. I went to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where I received a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Psychology. I now work for the state government in a probation office. When it comes to entertainment, I will watch, read or listen to anything as long as it is clean and uplifting. Hobbies:....where to begin.....reading, cooking, dancing, singing, watching movies, listening to music, spending time with friends and family, camping, hiking, swimming, rafting, all things crafty, video games, board games, and pretty much anything else that is fun and/or uplifting.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know it is true. When I was a teenager I went through a great trial of my faith as I underwent chemo-therapy and radiation treatment for Leukemia. It was during this time that I came to know what it meant to truly know God. As I was struggling through everything, I always felt God's guiding presence by my side. I came to know his love for me. I learned the power of that love. I also learned the power of God to heal a person both physically and emotionally. Mostly, I came to know God and the truth of His gospel.

How I live my faith

I do a lot of work with single adults between the ages of 18 and 30. I help plan and attend fun activities, such as rafting, camping, movie outings and bowling. I also help plan and attend activities that help with spirituality such as devotionals, scripture studies, and religious discussions.
