Hi I'm Alysen

I'm a Nebraska gal, pianist, and Certified Athletic Trainer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of ten children and have a fabulous mom and dad. Having graduated from Brigham Young University in Athletic Training, I now practice as a certified athletic trainer at a hospital in the hopes of becoming a physician's assistant someday. I love to play the piano, even if it is little more than chopsticks sometimes, and run. I have traveled to India and Peru for humanitarian work and have loved every bit of it! I'll admit, I'm a little of a movie and soundtrack junkie but my favorite thing to do is wrap up in a warm blanket during a thunderstorm. I have been called to serve in the Lansing Michigan mission and am ecstatic to serve Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that my Heavenly Father lives and loves me. I feel his love everyday though the simple song of a bird, or the calming ray of sunlight falling though the trees. I know that Heavenly father hears and answers my prayers. I have prayed to know if the Book of Mormon is true and God has told me that it is. I know that the prophets in the Bible and Book of Mormon truly testify of Jesus Christ and that we have a current living prophet, Thomas S Monson, who leads and guides us today. I have followed his counsel and know that he truly is lead by Jesus Christ. And most importantly, I know that Jesus Christ has atoned for my sins. He can show us the way to truth and light because He is truth and light. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I have come to know my Savior and Redeemer. I want to be like Him. When I try to do my best and follow his gospel, I feel indescribable joy. I know it is true because I have asked God. I cannot deny it. I love it!!

How I live my faith

I feel the best way to live my faith is to become more like my Savior Jesus Christ. This is accomplished by having hope, learning, being diligent, and most importantly serving others. I know that Christ has atoned for my sins and I am grateful that I can repent and become a stronger person through Christ. I also live my faith through my family. We laugh and cry, teach and learn, play and work hard together. I am so grateful that I can be with my family for eternity.
