Hi I'm Jessica Carlson

I'm left handed, have curly hair, currently a missionary in Germany, and I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am currently a student studying microbiology, I love school and find it a real blessing to be able to learn. I picked up running and yoga as hobbies in the past couple of years and am excited to continue finding more hobbies down the road. I love serving others, it brings me the greatest happiness. I love working and volunteering at the hospital down the road from my home. I am the only left handed person in my family and adore my family with all my heart. I find true happiness in random car rides and trips to costco. Jumping on the trampoline is joy for me, and living to the fullest is my overall life goal.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon, because this is the best possible way to live and because it in all reality it is the true Gospel of Christ on the earth today. Being a Mormon means: I believe in a clean life that is full of happiness and purpose. I have been taught to live well and to learn all I can, to keep the commandments and to serve those around me. To try everyday to become something\ someone more, someone more like Christ. I know, that my Father in Heaven in there and cares for me unconditionally. I am his daughter and can go to him for anything. I have been taught and now know for myself that if I pray with a sincere heart and a open mind I can receive answers. The best kind of answers, the right ones. Spending my life with this knowledge and this testimony is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I spend my time trying my best to be like my Savior and living the way he would like me to. I fulfill my callings and try to be an active member and help where I can and where I am needed. I am currently serving as a full time missionary for the Church, and I can say it was the best decision I ever made. I live what I believe and know who I am.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Jessica Carlson
Missionaries leave home at 18-25 years of age, at the prime of life, where friends and new experiences are driving their every desire, and decide to put their lives into the hands of the Lord and go to another land with weird food, new people and no family. They get up everyday at 6:30 and spend 9 hours everyday outside talking to people about what they believe. Its not easy. Why would a normal average human being spend 18 months to 2 years doing something like that? Well its easy enough, because its means something to them, because they know how the Gospel can change lives. I have currently the opportunity to do this everyday, along side 80,000 other missionaries. I know as well, that the Gospel of Christ if found in the Church of Jesus Christ of later day saints.
