Hi I'm Jeremy Carr

I'm from England, born and bred. I'm serving a two year mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently 21 years old and have decided to serve as a Full-time Missionary in the Alpine German-speaking Mission. I love playing any kind of sport and will take any oppurtunity I can get. I played Rugby and Football on a weekly basis, playing rugby for my Town. I am part of a family of six, I'm the baby of the family, and my older brother served a mission in the now Berlin, Germany Mission so we're now two German speaking sons!!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been brought up into this church thanks to my parents, they would always teach me moral rules that would help me better myself throughout my life as well as the teachings of the church. However while growing up I still came to the point of my life where I needed to decide for myself whether I wanted to really follow these things my parents and teachers had taught me. I started to do the three things that I remembered being taught which could bring myself personal revelation, these three things being; reading the scriptures, attending church and praying to my Heavenly Father in the name of his son Jesus Christ. These things gave me the feeling I needed to re-commit myself to the things I agreed to do when I got baptised. These basic principles have helped throughout my life in all of my decisions since then. I have found a joy that I want to share with all the people that I meet.

How I live my faith

While I was living at home before becoming a missionary I was called to be the Elders Quorumn teacher which means I was teaching people of the ages of 18+ which made me feel a little out of my depth, however knowing I have a testimony of the Restored Church reminded me that my testimony is really all I need to be able to share this gospel. I loved being able to have this calling and hold discussions so we could all further our knowledge of our church. I would always be involved with organising any of the sports activities that were held at my church, especially anything to play football with any of my friends whether they are members or not. As I have previously mentioned, I am serving a mission in the Alpine German-speaking Mission which includes southern Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein, German part of Switzerland and a tiny part of Italy. It has been a huge privilege to learn German and to better myself through this experience of sharing the gospel. My mission has really been the best decision I have made next to my initial conversion to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
