Hi I'm Megan Hendricks

I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have been going to College at Utah State for 2 years now. I have grown up playing all kinds of sports, and my favorite is soccer. I am very active, and I love to do anything outdoors. I also love to play the guitar and ride my longboard.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the gospel my entire life. My parents are great examples of what it means to be a good member of the gospel. Since I have lived in Utah my whole life, I have never had my faith tested by friends or peers that I have been around. I have just been used to having everyone around me believe in the same things that I do. But, once I moved to College I no longer had all the examples of my friends and family. I had to make the decision on my own whether or not I was going to go to church on Sunday. It was up to me to make the right decisions when my parents aren't there to tell me if I made the correct choice. I choose to be a Mormon because I realized it wasn't everyone around me that was forcing religion on me, I was choosing to follow the commandments that we were given because that is what makes me happy in life.

How I live my faith

My first official calling that I actually had to try to work hard at was Laurel President in the Young Women's Program. That helped me to be able to speak better in front of large groups, and I was also more willing to share experiences that I have had in my life. After that I have been called as a cub scout leader, a ward librarian, and I have also helped teach the Primary kids.
