Hi I'm Alex

I grew up in Utah. I rock climb, snowboard, and fancy the outdoors. I am a missionary. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I grew up in Utah, I was born in California. I just finished my freshman year at BYU. So I guess you could say I'm a stereotypical Mormon. BUT THATS ALRIGHT!!! I am serving in the Los Angeles Mission, and I am preaching in Mandarin. I could not be more excited for this stage of my life. I am excited for LA because I love all sorts of weird and different people, and I know LA has got a lot of those. I avidly partake of God's beautiful creation, the world around us. I enjoy camping, rockclimbing, snowboarding, and anything where I get to see and be a part of this beautiful world. I just finished up my freshman year at BYU, I studied PD Bio. I hope to one day attend medical school. I would feel so blessed if I was able to get a career where I could help people everyday. That is why I am so excited to serve a mission, to help people find happiness and bless their lives through the teachings and gospel and atonement of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have felt Christ in my life. I have felt his love for me. I have felt that this is his true Church and that is why I am a Mormon. I have had many cross roads in my life, where I had to make choices that would effect my life. I will be eternally grateful for having the knowledge of the Church and God's love and the plan in-store for me that I had during those cross roads. In hindsight I know I have made the right choices, and it is because of what I have been taught as a child that I was able to do do. I want to so badly teach others this Gospel, that it can bless their lives, that they can have the comfort that I have felt.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by constantly trying to become a better person. Someone that is more like Christ in all my ways. I know I stumble and fall, but through Christ I know I can become strong. I remember this, and everything falls into place. Luke 7:47 has been a powerful scripture in my life. I believe that loving much, and loving others is the only way we can make this world a better place, and the way to one day return to our father in heaven. As a missionary, I try to be a proper representative of Christ, because many people throughout the world don't even know who he is. Their first interpretation of Christ is what his followers are like.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Alex
No, a mission is note a rite of passage. If unable mentally or physically, a member should not go on a mission. Show more Show less
