Hi I'm Natalie

I love Pinterest. I'm a craft nerd. And I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm 19 years old, and I currently live in Minnesota. I am a student and I also work part time. I LOVE this Gospel. I am a convert, and I have never in my life been happier. I am the only member in my family, which brings some challenges, but I know it will bring a WHOLE LOT of blessings for my future as well. I'm a little quirky, and I love making things, and have a recently found love for blogging. I have two blogs now! one of which is geared to help newly baptized members of the church , and you can find it at: http://heymormongirl.blogspot.com The other one is: http://ramblingsofanorthernbelle.blogspot.com check it out!

Why I am a Mormon

My story is a little different. I walked into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on my own. My family had stopped attending their church, and I was looking for a church to go to. I Google'd churches in my area, and I found this one. I was only 16 at the time, and I exercised a tremendous amount of faith even then, going by myself. Through my trials, after two and a half years of finding out about The Church, I was baptized. My mother wasn't cool with it back then. I found a new church and ALMOST forgot about the great news I had found. I went back this past March after my best friends (my neighbors) I am so glad that I listened to the Spirit, and decided to get baptized. I know that this Church is the true Church restored to the Earth by Joseph Smith. I am so grateful that my Heavenly Father loves me and knew exactly when I would be ready to receive the Gospel for the second time. It means everything to me that Jesus Christ atoned for our sins. That one day, we can all live together with our families and that there IS life after death. We can all become better because of the Atonement of Christ. I love this church. I love our Prophet, Thomas S. Monson. I love the friends that I have made in my ward and stake. This Church truly represents Christ's love. I have never been as happy as I am, or felt this much love as I do right now in my life. I am so grateful for the Restoration of Christ's Church to the Earth.

How I live my faith

As a new member, all of my thoughts and my budding testimony is still fresh and increasing every day. I am so happy when the Missionaries in my ward invite me to teach investigators; I want them to know what I know and feel the way I feel! It was great living in AZ for two months and experiencing the Church there. I enjoyed it a lot :) Praying daily, attending my wards' FHE, and our ward Temple trips are some ways that I live my faith. As much as I can, I try to attend baptisms of new members of my ward. As well as attending the Temple on my own time as well.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

God commands us to be baptized in order to be saved. We follow Christ's example by being baptized and following God's commandments. We preform baptisms for the dead for those who did not have the chance to be baptized while living on the earth. Those who have been baptized in other churches without the restored Priesthood Authority have the opportunity to be baptized after they have entered the spirit world. Show more Show less
