Hi I'm Dalton Hoffman

"I grew up in Wisconsin. I love the outdoors. Serving others is my passion. I'm a mormon

About Me

My parents got divorced when I was five. Times were really hard for me but I got through. I love hunting and fishing. I grew up on the land using the resources around me to accommodate my hobbies. I love anything outdoors. Whether it be camping, hiking, snowboarding, snowshoeing, kayaking. As long as it involves mother nature I am most likely interested. I am currently attending BYU-Idaho, working towards my masters in Environmental Engineering.I am currently called as a missionary to the Chile, South Concepcion Mission. My arrival date at the Mexico MTC is July 31, 2013.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in LDS Church. I was not always a strong steady member of the Church though; until I received a change in heart. When I was 18 years old I moved out of my house and got an apartment of my own. I roomed with a friend from High School and everything was going smooth. That is until worldly pleasure slowly drew into my life. I very quickly learned that this was not the way to live. I had an experience threatened my life and at that time I envisioned my mother and father standing over my lifeless body. The feeling that came over my when I thought of how they would feel standing over their dead son, who wasted his life away for nothing but worldly pleasures. In that moment, was the beginning of a new life for me. I moved out of my apartment and in with my mother. I got a job working at a metal trades shop and started to regularly attend church meetings. From that day forth I have felt the presence of the Holy Ghost in my life. It comforts me as I know that the path I am taking is one that is of the Lord. I have experienced the fullness of the atonement of Jesus Christ and am proud to say that I have repented, and now am a worthy Son of God. There is no greater feeling I get than the feelings of conformation knowing that this church is true. Jesus is my Savior. He knows me better than anybody including myself. I gain joy from following his counsel and teachings. He is the way to true and eternal happiness. He is and always will be the reason for my living. I am a Mormon because I know this Doctrine to be true. I've prayed about it and have fasted to be a witness of the fullness of the Churches truths. There is no greater gift unto me than to be a part of this marvelous church. I love my God and Savior with all my heart, might, mind, and strength.

How I live my faith

Participation in activities set by the church is an essential key to strengthen ones faith. I participate in church every Sunday. I also have the great opportunity to expand the knowledge of others by being called as a Sunday School Teacher. The blessings that I get knowing that I am able to help others, are endless. I teach the Doctrine of this true Gospel, not only because I love it; but because I know it to be true.

What is the Law of Chastity?

Dalton Hoffman
God, teaches us that we should treat our bodies and the bodies of others with respect, and keep them sacred. It is not only a commandment of God, but is essential to eternally healthy relationships. The law of Chastity is just that. It is keeping our bodies sexually clean and pure, save it be that you and your partner are married. It also entails that we keep our loyalty to one partner during our marriage and not have any sexual relations with anyone outside of your marriage. True happiness comes from following the commandments of the Lord. Show more Show less
