Hi I'm Pablo

I'm a traveler, animal lover, missionary, and a mormon.

About Me

My parents are from central america, but I was born and raised in Canada. When I was 15 we moved to the Caribbean, and I also lived in Hawaii for a little bit. I love traveling and seeing other countries and cultures. I play volleyball and badminton, and I love going on hikes. I love being out in nature or in the city centre. I was born and raised in the church, but I had to find out for myself if it is true. I didn't want to dedicate so much of my life to something if it wasn't true. It took some time and a lot of prayers and study, but I came to find out through the Holy Ghost that it really is Jesus Christ's church, and that the Christ himself leads and guides the members of his church through a modern day prophet.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because this religion makes me happy. Being a Mormon doesn't mean my life is easier than anyone else's, but because I have a close relationship with God and my Saviour, I have their help through life's obstacles. This church teaches that God is my father, and I am his son, he loves me, he knows me inside-out, and he wants the best for me... and to me, that just makes sense. If I listen and obey him, I'll be able to return to live with him someday, and that brings me a lot of peace and comfort.

How I live my faith

This church has given me lots of opportunities to serve others, and I try my best to take advantage of each of those opportunities. I try to live my life the way Jesus would if he were in my shoes. Currently I'm serving a mission in Utah, which means I've given up my family, friends, and lots of other things for 2 years, so that I can devote all my time to teaching people about Christ and his gospel. A lot of people wonder why anyone would be crazy enough to do that, but when we really think about all the things Heavenly Father has blessed us with, it's a privilege not a sacrifice. I wouldn't be doing this if I didn't know that this church is true, and that it can bless anyone, no matter who they are, where they are, or what their situation is.
