Hi I'm Peggy

Grew up in Idaho in a large family of 8 children, have 3 children of my own that make my life complete & I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 3 beautiful children that have grown up too fast and love all children. I have especially enjoyed working/volunteering in elementary schools for the past 15+ years. I love nature and am amazed at the beauty of the earth that we live in. When I consider all the God has created for us to enjoy here on this earth, I myself am inspired to create. I tinker in many things such as art & crafts, writing & illustrating and I love to cook & bake. I was born and raised in a large family and learned the art of creating from my parents. In my mind they could make or do anything. I am not quite as good at "creating" as they were, but I love expressing myself through my talents and abilities, and sharing those talents and abilities with others.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormon) religion. Having the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life has truly been a blessing. Though I went through times when I questioned what I was taught and had to discover the truthfulness of the gospel for myself, I know that God has always been aware of me and has been there to help me through my struggles and challenges. I know that God has a plan for me and my life on the earth and that I can discover the plan he has for me by creating a close relationship with him through praying to him and learning about him and the gospel of his son Jesus Christ. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints not simply because I was born into a family that happened to be that religion, but because I have prayed about it and know for myself that this is the true gospel of Jesus Christ on the earth today. It has made me who I am today, the daughter of God that he has meant for me to be. Two of my sons were gone for two years on full time missions for the church. It was difficult to send them away for two years, only communicating through one email a week and talking twice a year on the phone, but I knew that they were on the Lords errand and he would watch over and protect them. I can tell you that the change in my boys were dramatic. They went out teenage boys and came back men of God. The gospel not only changed the lives of those they taught, but their lives through their teaching and service they provided. I would not have been able to send my boys away on a mission for two years if I did not know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was true. I am creating this profile at the request of one of my sons that used this tool on his mission. The gospel of Jesus Christ can change lives, I testify of that. There are missionaries, just like my sons, waiting and wanting to teach you about how you can have the joy of the gospel of Jesus Christ in your life.

How I live my faith

I like keep busy (most of the time) and currently serve in the presidency of the women's organization of my church. Every week during the last hour of church we have a lesson and meet as women, I oversee/organize the lessons taught in that meeting. I visit, remember birthdays of, and help fellowship all the women and neighbors that live in our area. I am also involved in my community working in a children's library. I love the opportunity I have to be involved and feel that I have been guided to both of these current opportunities in my life through the hand of the Lord. I have had many opportunities to serve in different capacities throughout my life from being in the nursery taking care of babies to being the camp director organizing girls camp. I can say that many of the things I've been asked to do have pushed me out of my comfort zone. It is always a learning and growing experience for me, making me the person the God has intended for me to be, and I love who God is shaping me into.
