Hi I'm Sydney

I'm a missionary. I love to laugh. I love to cry. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in California and just completed my first year of college away from home. I absolutely loved it there and can't wait to go back after completing my mission. Currently I am serving in the Washington Spokane Mission. My favorite part about being a missionary is bearing my testimony of the Savior and feeling of His love for me and for others so frequently.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ lives and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is His church on the earth today. I know that He loves me perfectly, enough to suffer, bleed, and die for me so I can return to live with God, our Heavenly Father, again. I know that Heavenly Father loves me perfectly as well, enough to send His Only Begotten Son to suffer for my sins so I can be made whole and be worthy to live with Him again. And just as my Heavenly Father loves me, I know that He loves all of His children. I came to know this through asking my Heavenly Father in prayer. Over time I have gained a testimony of all of this, and I know it all to be true. By the same process I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God in these last days, and that he translated the Book of Mormon and restored the true church to the earth. I also know that Thomas S. Monson is the Lord's prophet living on the earth today, that he speaks for God, and because he does we must follow His words and His counsel. In doing so our lives will have joy, peace, love, and we will be ready for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Growing up I was always involved with our youth groups at church and participated in presidencies and committees that helped organize events and service projects. Once I went away to school, I taught a class at church once a month based on teachings of latter-day prophets. I also was a visiting teacher, where I met with, served, and got to know other sisters in my ward. This was one of my favorite things to do because I learned to love these young women so much and I made lifelong friends.
