Hi I'm Levi Williams

I'm the second of five kids born to a Mexican mother and a white dad. I love the outdoors and appreciate good food.

About Me

Most of my life I've been afraid of getting out of my comfort zone and trying new things, and have usually ended up on the sideline-- literally, I spend a lot of time watching my siblings do cool things. Lately, I've been trying to get off the sideline and develop new hobbies and try new things myself. I've discovered that I really enjoy a lot of things I might have been afraid of or felt like I wasn't capable of before like: running, cycling, horseback riding, swimming, making videos and cooking nutritious foods. I'm always up for an adventure. Family is important to me and so I end up spending a lot of time with my siblings and with my parents. I study Family Studies at BYU and served a mission in El Salvador.

Why I am a Mormon

I've always loved the scripture where the Lord says, " I will give unto the children of men line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little.." When I was little my parents taught me about God and taught me to pray and read the scriptures. As I've grown up I've come to rely on those principle and have come to recognize the power of them in my life. Now that I'm "older" I look back and see how God has allowed me to learn like He says, "little by little." Over the years I've come to understand more how God loves us, and how calling living prophets is a huge manifestation of His love for us. I know that there are living prophets on the earth. And I know that as we learn from them, our knowledge of God and Jesus Christ will increase. I am a Mormon because the Holy Ghost has confirmed to my heart that what I learn in this Church is true. I know that Jesus Christ lives and that He is our Savior and Redeemer. And as a Mormon I will continue learning how to be a better disciple of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Christ said, "Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself." He also said, "Therefore, all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them." I try to follow Christ's example and be aware of others and what they are feeling. I try to serve others in simple ways as I recognize a need. Also, I study the scriptures and pray to God to increase my understanding of what God would want me to do.
