Hi I'm Makayla

I was born and raised in Brigham City Utah. I love music, swimming and softball. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I LOVE to bake!! When I was up at BYU-I all my roommates told me that they put on their freshmen 15 because of me and my baking.. But what can you do!! I majored in Culinary Arts at Brigham Young University-Idaho and minored in the Home. When I "grow up" I want to be a stay at home mom. I think that is the most important job a person can have.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it's the only thing in my life that has kept me truly happy. I have been a mormon my entire life. My parents and grandparents and even my great-grandparents are mormon... When I was younger I used to use that as an excuse as to why I'm a mormon. But as I've grown and as I've had my own experiences I've come to realize that I'm a mormon because I believe in everything that this church teaches.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by teaching the little kids in primary about Jesus and about the scriptures. I also live my faith by preparing to serve a mission by reading the scriptures, going to church, and being an example to everyone around me.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Makayla
A testimony is what we believe or know to be true. We know these things because of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost give us good, happy, peaceful feelings when we ask God if they are true. For example I have a testimony that God is our loving Heavenly Father. So that means that I know that we have a father in heaven watching over us everyday. Show more Show less
