Hi I'm Sister Chayla Teeter

I am from Ririe, Idaho and attended BYU-Idaho for 2 years! I am currently serving a mission in British Columbia, Canada!

About Me

Before my mission, I attened Brigham Young University-Idaho for 2 years. When I return from my mission, I will continue my schooling and graduate with a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education. I have grown up in Idaho, I am the oldest of 4 children, 2 sisters and a little brother! Both of my parents have served missions, my mother served in the Philippines and my father in England, and my sister is serving in the Philippines, so my life has been influenced grately by missionary service. I was so grateful to have a knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ and to have a personal relationship with my Savior.

Why I am a Mormon

I a Mormon because it is the gospel of Jesus Christ, His church. The gospel has blessed me so much that I can't put into words. I feel the love of my Heavenly Father when I pray. Prayer is the direct communication that I have with him and what a blessing that is. To be able to talk to Him everyday, to thank Him for the blessings I receive and to seek for comfort when in hard times. Through prayer, I have come to know that The Book of Mormon is the word of God. I am so grateful to be able to read and study His words everyday. One thing why I love The Book of Mormon so much is that it was written for us. And knowing that Heavenly Father loves us enough to provide us with a way to return to him, and The Book of Mormon is essential to knowing that plan. When I read the Book of Mormon, I feel peace and I know that it is the word of God. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I am so grateful for the blessings that I have received because of the gospel and I know that everyone can have the same blessings if they seek them.

How I live my faith

Being a member of the church,to me, is more than a religion, it is a life-style. A day does not go by that I do not live my faith and what a blessing it is in my life. Growing up in the church, I have had various callings throughout Young Womens and in college wards. The church has allowed me to grow because of the leadership opportunities that is provided and having members that have given me so much support. I live my faith my doing my best to be a disciple of Christ.
