Hi I'm Emily

I'm in love with the outdoors, I love to learn, I love to laugh and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I have a passion for teaching and a love for the outdoors. Take me hiking and I'm a happy girl, take me backpacking and I'm in love. Running is my escape from stress and a way for me to relax. I love every minute spent running on a dirt trail. I have big dreams and plans for my future, adventures I desire to embark upon, but I love enjoying the little things in my every day life too. A moment that makes you laugh uncontrollably, a good conversation with an old friend, and daily trials that make me grow are what I love to experience daily!

Why I am a Mormon

I have frequently asked myself why I care so much about the gospel. I care about the gospel because it gives me the knowledge that I am of divine worth and I am a daughter of God. He loves me and he knows me better than I know myself. There is never a moment in my life where I am alone because my Savior is always there beside me. I am a Mormon because I desire to live with my Heavenly Father again, in his presence. I desire to serve him in any way I can, and to make him proud that I am his daughter! The Gospel of Jesus Christ brings happiness into every moment of my life, because it is the confirmation that my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ love me. They love every single person on this earth and they care about the little things in their lives, and in mine! I am a Mormon, and I love it!

How I live my faith

The Gospel of Jesus Christ fills me with gratitude and encourages me to press forward through trials. I love my life because of the peace the truth of the Gospel brings. Every day I go through my errands with a smile on my face and representing the Lord in any way I can. I try my hardest to show others around me that life is a wonderful gift and that there is cause to celebrate. I try my hardest to serve those around me and see others as the Savior would.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Emily
As members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints we believe the Bible to be true, as far as it is translated correctly. The Bible is a beautiful record that allows us to draw closer to God and know him, as well as his for each of us. Along with The Bible we also believe in a collection of others work that draw us closer to God as well. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. It is a record of God's dealings with his children living in ancient America. The Doctrine and Covenants is a collection of revelations given during the early establishment of the Church of Jesus Christ. Finally, The Pearl of Great Price is a selection of revelations, translations and writings of the Prophet Joseph Smith. We believe all of this works to be inspired of God and true accounts.
