Hi I'm Cayson Renshaw

I grew up in California. I love music. I love the outdoors and sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just finished my freshman year of college and will very soon be serving a full-time mission for the church. I love playing the guitar and piano (along with trying to play any other instruments that I can't really), singing, or just listening to music of all kinds. I sang in choirs all 4 years of high school. I grew up playing sports of all kinds - baseball, soccer, volleyball, basketball - and I still enjoy playing/watching them as well as other sports. I grew up in a very diverse area in California, along with my 5 other siblings, and I loved it. I'm glad I was able to get that exposure of different cultures as I was raised.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were raised members of this church, so naturally they raised me to be a member as well. Ever since I was little I have seen the happiness and blessings that come from following the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that God gives us commandments so that He can bless us when we follow them, though they may seem like restrictions to some. I know that Jesus Christ lived a perfect life and that he gave His life so that we can repent and be forgiven of the things we do wrong. He experienced every pain that we might ever feel in this life, so we can look to Him when we need strength to overcome anything, no matter what it is. I know that Joseph Smith restored that same gospel to the earth that Jesus Christ established, and translated The Book of Mormon, which contains the teachings of ancient prophets, just like The Bible. Both books contain the word of God and we can receive answers and learn from their teachings. I know that our Father in Heaven hears and answers our prayers. He loves and cares for all of His children here on this earth.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a full-time mission, looking for people to share this wonderful gospel with. In my years growing up I was very involved in the youth program of the church, where I was involved in many different service projects in the community.
