Hi I'm Tyson

I lived in Lehi my whole life. I started varsity in football as an outside linebacker. I am a Mormon. :)

About Me

My name is Tyson. I graduated high school in 2012 and have been working as a Manager for the company Little Caesars. I plan on going to college after I get back from my LDS Mission. I plan on becoming a Specialized Heart Surgeon for my occupation. I LOVE sports. Football, soccer, baseball, basketball, golf, tennis, there's basically no sport that I don't love. I love to be outside either running, hiking, or even just sitting in the grass. I love to go Snowmobiling, and Snowboarding. I love to go 4 Wheeling. I enjoy boating, which includes Wakeboarding, tubing, knee boarding, water skiing, and swimming. I started varsity football as an outside linebacker and I ran the 110 and 300 hurdles in track. I love to play the guitar and sing. I write my own music and am in a band called Diamond of the Eye. I find my joy in all these things, and my family, friends, and the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have been told my whole life that the church is true and when I was 8 I was baptized into this church. But when I was about 15 I was really struggling with many things in my life and really started to question if there was really a God, and if our Heavenly Father truly loves me. I questioned if Jesus Christ, this one being would actually suffer for ALL my sins, pains, afflictions, guilt, and even my sorrow. And if he would, then why would he? At this time of my life I turned towards my parents to figure out what I needed to do. They told me exactly what to do with such love that I had no choice but to do it. They told me to read my scriptures, ponder and pray to my Father in Heaven if this is all true, to humble myself and have a broken heart so I could feel for myself if it is true. I now testify that Heavenly Father does love me, and he loves you. Christ LIVES and Loves each and every one of us. He suffered for you and me, bled from every pore, and carried our burdens so we don't have to. The Atonement is true and full of love for those who are willing to turn to it. When I was 18 I had something else come into my life that I struggled with and once again needed to feel my Heavenly Fathers love. At this time I had just finished reading the Book of Mormon for the first time and felt I needed to follow the instructions given by Moroni in Moroni 10:3-5. That is to "ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ" if these things are true. So I did just that. I knelt down in prayer that night and poured my heart to the Father, asking him is the Book or Mormon is true. And I also asked if there really was a LOVING Heavenly Father, and if Christ Atoned for All my sins. And IMMEDIATELY, even before I closed the prayer, a voice came into my head saying "Why do you ask this? You know all this to be true. need I show more?" I KNOW these things to be TRUE. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when I was 8 years old. I have been faithfully serving in all my callings in the priesthood and when I turned 18 I was called to be a primary teacher. I now teach kids who are 8 and 9 years old about the gospel. They have all been baptized and understand the teachings. I am very surprised with how well they understand the Holy Ghost and recognize the Spirit at the age of 9. I am currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ in the England Leeds Mission for the period of 2 years.

What is the Book of Mormon?

Tyson
The Book of Mormon is another Testament of Christ. It teaches about the Nephites, Lamanites, Jaredites, and there posterity. It speaks of truth and about Christ coming unto the Americas after his Crucifixion and Resurrection. There is not a single story, teaching, or even a word in it that is not true. It is TRUE and I know it and testify it with all my heart. If you do not know, get a copy of the book and read if for yourself. After you finish reading, kneel down and pray unto our Father to know if it is true. I Promise that if you do it with a Broken Heart and sincerity, you will too come to know that the Book is True and ALL the teachings within. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
