Hi I'm Morgan

I grew up in Utah, I love playing music, I am striving to give everything to the Lord as a missionary, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Hi,my name is Morgan. I was a student at a small 2 year college for two years. I play the clarinet, and it is most enjoyable :). I am serving the Lord as one of his missionaries in the South Carolina mission, and I love it! As a missionary, I've dedicated 18 months of my life to the Lord and to the people of South Carolina. Hot or cold, dry or wet, missionaries go out every day to teach of Christ and to help people come closer unto him. I love teaching! Its during the times that I teach, and when I testify of Christ and his gospel that my own testimony is strengthened the most. I love seeing the Light of Christ enter a person's life more fully when they accept and practice this gospel. Living these teachings takes work, but it is always worth it. Generally, when I first meet someone I'm quiet and shy, but it usually doesn't take long for that to melt away. I'm still quiet (most of the time), but apt to say more. I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Its truly a blessing that I couldn't live without.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member, and I'll always be a member. I'm not continuing to be a member just because I grew up with this though. The summer before my first year of college, I knew I needed to know where I stand away from my family. As member's of this church, we are strongly encouraged to have our own conviction of our beliefs, our own testimony, and not lean on our family's own conviction. We are encouraged to read the scriptures and to pray to our Heavenly Father if this is not His own church. That is what I did. I read the Book of Mormon and the Bible, examined my own beliefs, and prayed to God to know if this is His church. I know this is His church. I did not leave Utah to take a bunch of lies to these people. A person's conviction and testimony can be tested with his life. You know he believes it if he's willing to die for it. I think something stronger than that though, is if he is willing to live for it, and to stay strong to his beliefs. I love my Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. He is my brother and my best friend, and I know he lives!

How I live my faith

How do I live my faith? I suppose most of it is through the small things. Reading the scriptures daily, praying, trying my best to keep the commandments, live in a way that our Heavenly Father would be pleased with, and attending church and various meetings. I try to be an example of a good member for whomever may be watching. Of course I make mistakes, but I do my best to make up for them and to continue living the way I should. I try to help people whenever I see someone who looks like they need it. The small things can make the biggest differences.
