Hi I'm Taylor Robinson

I grew up in Craig CO, moved to Pittsburgh PA, attended BYU and am serving my mission in Brazil Fortaleza

About Me

Besides church activities, there's a lot of things that keep me busy. I'm a student at BYU trying to focus on studies, and I hoping to go into the media field: something involving television, broadcasting, film studies, or anything in that general line of interest. I love seeing movies and plays, and did 3 years of High School Theater and loved every minute. I enjoy playing guitar and piano as well and love all types of music(except country and rap). Keeping fit is a struggle, but I lift weights and go cycling often. I love seeing the good things to learn from media, art, and entertainment, and how people view society and the lessons we learn from life. I also love hearing peoples story, and love just how fascinating people are.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of the church. My parents sometimes had to drag me in my younger years. Because I had grown up in the church, my testimony and understanding had always been on the backs of others. But when I was around 14 or 15, I began noticing how it felt to be at church. Problems or questions that I would have during the week would be answered there, or when I was reading the scriptures, and all the lessons I had been absorbing over the years started to mean something. And even though I knew in my life, I would continue to make bad choices, and feel so unworthy, I knew that someone wanted to see me back home in heaven. And I could keep working and learning to become better to get back there. I felt more peace and understanding than ever, and my appetite for the spirit grew. I have always wanted to serve a mission, and am currently serving. I have looked back on my life and see, I haven't done many things of great importance and wasn't the person I knew I would be happy with. But this opportunity I have been given to serve is amazing, and I am loving every minute!

How I live my faith

I have lived my faith in several ways. One of the most notable programs was the boy scouts of america program. It taught many skills for young men to learn, and provided time for service to the church and community. We also had a youth group for all young men, or young women that met usually on Wednesdays where we do an activity or service project. Serving in the church I've had various callings to serve the members. Helping other boys my age make sure the were getting to church, inviting everyone to activities, preparing the sacrament, teaching lessons, and looking over the members under my care to make sure everything was going well in their lives, or if there was anything I could help them with.
