Hi I'm Eric

I have moved all across the US during my childhood. I love rock climbing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I really love rock climbing, and was on a climbing team in high school. I also really enjoy playing soccer and ultimate frisbee in my spare time. I am currently going to school in Utah and love all the different places out here to go climbing. I enjoy hiking and have been on three 50 mile hikes in my life. I find that being outdoors and experiencing the beauty of nature help me to draw nearer to God. During my childhood I have lived in Texas, Washington, Connecticut, and places in between. Every time I moved, the gospel was a rock that I could rely on to help me during the difficult time of transition.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church so I learned the teachings of the Church my whole life. As I grew older I studied the doctrines and teachings of the Church deeply and prayed about them so that I could know the truth of them for myself. I have read the Book of Mormon and prayed asking to know if it was true and when I did so I received the answer that it was true and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was as well. This witness has been a powerful force in my life and I could never deny that I received it. I know that in order to be truly happy we must draw close unto our Heavenly Father and our Savior, Jesus Christ, through doing the things they desire of us; although it may seem hard at times to do everything asked of us, it is all worth it in the end.

How I live my faith

I have served my ward through leading my youth classes. I have been a class, quorum, president which entailed helping the class members with their personal needs and teaching lessons on occasion. I also have helped plan youth activities and dances so that the youth in our area can get together and have a great time in a positive environment. I have helped the missionaries teach lessons to those who are interested in the gospel in my area as a preparation to serve my own mission. I cannot wait until I can go out and serve the Lord myself by bringing His children unto Him.
