Hi I'm Tyler

I'm a disciple of Christ. I love making people laugh. I'm a shoe fanatic. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Tyler. I am 18 years old living in Utah. I play soccer, basketball, volleyball, and pretty much anything that involves a ball. I love long boarding and snow boarding with my friends. I enjoy being in nature and will be outside whenever I can! I play the piano and love to sing! I recently finished up my freshman year at Snow College and loved every minute of it! College is the best time of your life to help you figure out who you are and where you want to go in life. I am preparing to serve a mission to El Salvador for the LDS church and am so excited to share what I know to be true with all of the wonderful people I am going to meet!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Mormon church by my parents and I have been going to church my whole life. In my family it was never a question whether you went to church or not. If you were breathing then you were going. I have always loved going to church and singing the songs and being with friends. But lately I go to church because I want to and I need to. Without church on Sunday my week feels empty, like there is a piece missing. When I was 6 a big piece of my life left me. My father died of a brain tumor and I didn't know what was going on. One day he was there and the next day he wasn't. I was sad and confused as a little 1st grader. But from going to church each Sunday and from reading The Book of Mormon with my family I had learned that I could see my dad again someday. Now today I live and learn the teachings of this church so I can understand and help others to know that they can be with love ones that they have lost. This is the reason I want to serve a mission and be a missionary for the LDS church, so I can help others to realize that through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and through his atonement I can be with my dad again and my family will be together again. I want everyone in the world to know this and can't wait to share it with the people of El Salvador when I leave on my mission.

How I live my faith

In my ward right now I am there to learn and to help build my spirituality before I leave on my mission to El Salvador. I participate in class discussions and share my beliefs and my testimony with others so they can feel of the spirit and understand the wonderful plan our Heavenly Father has in store for us!
