Hi I'm Laura

I'm a Wife, a Mother and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to my husband for three years and we have a beautiful little girl who is two and is such a beautiful daughter of God. I went to university and gained a degree but right now I am a stay at home mum, this time is so precious that I don't want to miss anything and I want my children to have the best start in life. This is the most sacred and important work and I just love it. I want them to know how wonderful they are and know their worth in the sight of God.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptised a member of the Church 5 years ago when I was 20. I had friends who were members of the Church and I went along one Sunday. I began meeting with the missionaries but I took my time, wanting to be sure it was my decision and that it was the right thing. I got to a point where everything made sense and I just could not deny it any longer. Being baptised was the best decision I ever made, all of the things that are most dear to me have come through the gospel, my family and my testimony of the Saviour. What a comfort is it to know we have leaders today who can guide us in our changing world. Faith and religion is just as important today as it ever was and it provides me with an anchor and a foundation in my life. The Church is true, Jesus Christ is our Saviour and best friend and the Atonement is real. The Temple is such a wonderful place and it is such a blessing to be sealed to my family for time and all eternity as long as we remain faithful. What a promise that is! Heavenly Father knows each one of us and is aware of us all.

How I live my faith

I serve in the Church by teaching the Young Women in my ward, they are girls aged 12-18. I love this and love seeing them grow and become more confident as they become more sure of their identify as daughters of God and find the potential within themselves. I love my girls and love being with them. At home we have family and personal prayers every day and seeing my daughter learn this and grow in faith is just the best thing. She says her own prayers and they are the most beautiful thing, so pure and innocent.
