Hi I'm Emily

I live in the United States, I grew up in the famous Sin City of the world. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I'm 19 and have always been a member but I am also a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am the youngest of 8 children and a twin. I'm close to my family. I have a love for culture and things that are different from my normal. I find peace in cooking and drawing but I wouldn't say I'm skilled in either. I love it when people smile. I want to be an orthodontist to help people with the confidence to smile. I'm majoring in Biology. I have hopes to one day help others in third world countries through dental work. Hair, nails, and make-up is something I do often and enjoy doing. I love my life and everyone in it!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because there is no greater joy than to be a member of His church. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and that Joseph Smith was given the power to translate them. I know that we have living prophets today that are given the power to reveal Christ's word unto the world. I am a Mormon because there is not greater truth than Christ's gospel. I was born into this church but I was converted because I wanted to know if what I have always been taught is true. I have a testimony that this is the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. We have been this gospel because he loves us and wants us succeed in this life to one day return to Him. I know that I am weak and will always make mistakes but I know that through Jesus Christ I can repent and through Him become stronger. I'm a mormon because I know this is the fully restored gospel of Jesus Christ and His word has been given to us by a loving Heavenly Father and His Son through the mouth of living prophets. I know that my prayers are always heard and are answered. I have gained my testimony through trials, prayers, tribulation, and tender moments. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love each of us and wants us to know the truth, but we are required to ask and have faith. I'm mormon because through prayer I have gained a testimony that this is Christ's restored church.

How I live my faith

I am currently a teacher in Sunday School to 12-13 year olds. I've held previous callings in Young Womens. I live my faith everyday by the choices I make and the things I choose to participate in. I have been called to labor in Madrid Spain to teach and preach the Gospel to all willing to listen. I didn't always want to be a missionary but when I introduced a close friend to the gospel, I knew that there was so much joy in missionary work. I want people to know that Christ lives and loves them, it is so important for us to follow Him and there is no better way to than being a true member of His Church. I also taught new members lessons, which helped me to better understand the principles of the His gospel.
