Hi I'm Eric Simpkinson

I grew up in the western United States. I love nature. I fully enjoy being a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a fun loving guy who enjoys being in nature. I enjoy building robots, which inspires me to go to college at Utah State University to pursue a career in Electrical Engineering. I love Science! I enjoy seeing and knowing how our world works and through science I am able to get a clearer picture at the ability our Heavenly Father has and the expanse of his creations. Anyways, back to nature. I enjoy hiking, camping, and fishing. I love to just be outdoors up in the mountains enjoying the fresh breeze. I am currently serving a Mission in the New Mexico Albuquerque Mission. Hablo Español tambien!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I feel that it is the only church on this planet that acts with authority to do God's will. That authority is the Preisthood. Another reason why I am a Mormon is because of the realness of the holy spirit that cannot be felt anywhere else. I, in my early teens, was curious about other religions. In every other church I went to, there was always something missing. I came to realize that the spirit is what was missing in every single one of those meetings. That is the main reason I know the Mormon faith to be true. It is that undeniable assurance given to me through the Holy Spirit that I know my faith to be true.

How I live my faith

I attend all my regular meetings and participate in service projects that our branch organizes. My family schedules events that our local leaders wish to set up so I help with that when needed. I read my scriptures as often as time permits. I have been lacking on prayer at times...but that's simply because I'm human and being human simply means we try to work harder at it every day. I also am serving a mission. It's fun.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Eric Simpkinson
The mere fact that we exist should be proof enough. Mathematically speaking for all you geeks out there it is nearly impossible for us to exist by mere coincidence. It's not like we just came out of nowhere like *POOF*. It just makes sense for there to be a higher force or being at work. Also with the laws of physics, nature, and mathematics, and how they work so perfectly also tells me that there is a God. Show more Show less
