Hi I'm Nathan

I'm Nathan. I am a missionary. I love the gospel. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am 20 years old, and have many hardships in life. It was not until I was 13 years I received my testimony, but it is all thanks to the Book of Mormon and prayer. It made my life better and started something in me. I participated in sports like cross country and track. I had so many friends, blessings, and joy. And from that life is wonderful! Right now I am serving in the Paris France mission, and I it is amazing to see how people change thanks to this fantastic message.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was baptized, it didn't mean a lot. My sister had been baptized at 8 years of age and I had not. I wasn't really good at reading the scriptures the missionaries gave me (I was 10). They did give me a good lesson on the plan of salvation though. I just went through the motions for a few years until a scout camp at age 13. One older youth 17 or so stood and bore his testimony to the group. I felt the need and started to cry and gave my own. It was simple, yet changed my life. Years later and I was in seminary, I learned how to share a scripture, and the year after that I finished the Book of Mormon for the first time. When I asked if it was true I didn't feel something really strong, because I already knew. I knew that this is the path. I have continued to follow this path ever since. Though I have messed up at times, I Know how to come back. I know this is the right path. Je suis heureux de faire parti de l'église mormon.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission in Paris, France. It is wonderful here, and their are so many things that the Lord has decided to teach me. I know that as we ask we receive, but we need to be ready to change.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

We talk to our father in heaven when we pray, he in turn speaks to us when we read the scriptures, or the word of God. Sometimes when I face hardships I think of the scripture Alma 37:36-37 "Council with the Lord". Just like our own earthly father we ask him for advice we should do the same with our father in heaven. I know that and I have received answers from him like a beam of joy coming through my heart. I know you can too. It only takes faith with a little bit of work on your part. Show more Show less
