Hi I'm Amanda Horrocks

I love my family and friends. I play soccer and basketball. I'm serving my mission in Knoxville Tennessee. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I know that the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints is the true church on this Earth. Because I know this I try to live my life the best I can. I love serving others with a smile and enthusiasm. We are all trying to be happy in this world, the best way to find happiness is by serving our Heavenly Father and his children. My family is very important to me and so are friends! I attend Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and I am studying Exercise Science. I have two more years until I graduate and then I will attend Optometry school. I love to play sports! Specifically soccer and basketball. I snowboard, water ski and wake board. I am very accomplished at the piano and I love to sing. I have been playing the piano for 13 years now. I love to read! I am serving a mission for the LDS church in Knoxville, Tennessee. I will be speaking Spanish and serving those loving people. I am very excited!

Why I am a Mormon

I am so grateful to be a Mormon. I love my savior Jesus Christ, and the LDS church (the Mormons) is His true church on the Earth today. My family has been raised in this gospel for many generations and we are so blessed because of it. Like every member of the church, I had to find out for myself if this was the true church. I studied and prayed about this gospel and I felt and received the inspiration and personal revelation that it is true. I wish for everyone to be able to discover this truth and I am headed out to serve my LDS mission in Tennessee to help others find it.

How I live my faith

The family is the main focus of our religion. I spend a lot of my time with my family, and I love it! We all love each other so much and there isn't a greater way to be happy. My family and I are very active in our church life and we attend church every Sunday. We also do extra things every day so that we can help others in our church and keep our testimonies strong. I love being Mormon.
