Hi I'm Ryan

I was born in the church in the Salt Lake Valley. I'm a Mormon, and I love it.

About Me

I am currently a student studying math and computer science at a private university. I have always enjoyed my studies and I hope one day to be able to teach and share my knowledge with the other people around me, including the rising generation of students. Outside of school, I love to play both soccer and basketball, as well as other sports including football, fishing, hunting, mountain biking, racquetball, hiking, and frisbee. I love to spend time with those close to me, including friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. As I grew up, my parents and siblings taught me well the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ. When I was old enough to truly begin to understand, I prayed for myself to know if Joseph Smith was a prophet, if the Book of Mormon is true, and if the church is true. Ever since, and as I continue to pray for personal knowledge and testimony, I can feel that the church is true, manifested by the Holy Ghost. I believe that Jesus Christ is my Savior, and the Savior of the world. I believe that He suffered and died for me and that if I follow His teachings and gospel I will continue to be blessed, even though trials and adversity may come. I have seen the hand of the Lord in my own life, and the truly remarkable and countless blessings that come from following Christ.

How I live my faith

As I've grown up in the church, I have served in various capacities as a youth leader in the youth programs of the church. For the next two years I will be serving as a missionary of the church in Frankfurt, Germany, where I will invite all that I can to learn of Jesus Christ and how they can make Him a larger part of their lives. But more importantly, I strive to live my faith every day of my life by studying the Bible, the Book of Mormon, and the words of the prophets. I also strive to say meaningful prayers to my Father in Heaven to receive guidance and help, as well as to express gratitude for all the blessings I have been given. Though I am not perfect, I strive to become so by living the teachings of the church to the best of my ability.
