Hi I'm Kirsten

Vegas Lovin, Business Lovin, Bolivia Lovin Mormon

About Me

I am currently a college student studying Business. I enjoy hiking, running and exploring the outdoors. I feel so comfortable in the outdoors and could spend hours in nature. I equally feel as comfortable in the indoors and could be just as happy getting big gallon of cookie dough ice cream and watching a good movie or reading a good book. I love to travel and if it were up to me I could spend my whole life traveling and just move my cookie dough ice cream parties to after I have climbed the Swiss Alps or wandered the streets of Paris. My more realistic hobbies include learning a new song on the piano to experimenting on my guitar. I definitely have a nerdy side, I would have to say that one of my favorite hobbies is reading the newspaper and getting the feeling of accomplishment after you have figured out the daily crossword. Most importantly, however, I love Christ and the opportunities he gives me each day to do those things that I enjoy so much!

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a member of this church because of the comfort that comes from knowing why I am here, what my worth is and what I have potential to become. This church focuses on the love that Christ has for each one of us no matter our circumstance in life. When we bring our weaknesses unto Christ he can turn them into our strengths. This Church not only focuses on how we can improve ourselves in the eyes of God but it is also a church that looks outwards toward others. We believe that each person is a child of God so they deserve to be treated with respect and we have the opportunity to use our talents and serve those all around us. For me, the biggest part of this gospel is the revelation we have on eternal families. I have a testimony in eternal families. The family unit doesn't end with death but if we stay close to god in THIS life we can be with our family members in the life to come. This church has brought me real joy. Not temporary enjoyment from the things of this world but the eternal joy that comes from knowing the real purpose of life.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday for three hours. This is a time when I can talk to my friends in my community about the past week and use these weekly experiences to rejoice in Christ. I teach lessons that help each of the women in my community come closer unto Christ. Hearing the experiences of those who have the same spiritual goals as I do, encourages me to work so that one day we may return to live with our loving Heavenly Father again. In July I will be serving in Bolivia on an eighteenth month mission for my church. I want to bring the happiness that this church brought me to the people in South America!
