Hi I'm Lesley

I was born in Gloucester. I love to read and to do puzzles. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of two and stepmother of four, between them they have 21 children. I am qualified in management and accounts, I have also studied nursing. I enjoy travelling, reading thrillers, collecting anything connected with squirrels. I love to go to musicals and plays at the theatre.

Why I am a Mormon

In 1983, as a single mum, I was introduced to the gospel by two female missionaries from California. They came and talked to me about families being forever and that is a concept that I love about being a member of the Church. It also give me purpose to my life and has given me the confidence to go on to higher education, learn to drive a car, to have a good job and to find a man to marry who shares my goals and ideals. I know it is true and right, for myself, and nothing will detract me from living the Gospel Standards.

How I live my faith

I am the editor of the monthly newsletter for our Ward. I also serve as a Temple Worker on a Thursday. I love to visit the women who I am assigned to Visiting Teach after each month. I volunteer one Saturday a month for a local café which is entirely organised and run by volunteers. I am involved in local Health issues as a member of the Ownership Council.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Lesley
Whilst it is not necessary for all Mormons to serve a full time Mission, we believe that every member is a missionary and we are all willing to answer questions about our belief. Show more Show less
