Hi I'm Mac(kenzie) Stevens

I love making friends and playing volleyball. I am studying to be an Elementary teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a full time college student; working odd jobs and running on no sleep. I am earning my degree to become a teacher. Five months ago, I had a pretty intense shoulder reconstruction surgery due to a rollerblading accident. I have worked hard in physical therapy and I have been extremely blessed in my recovery. I love fashion, making friends, and having fun! I am no stranger to spin classes and cross fit. I am hanging on to one last baby tooth and I have big plans to travel the world. Something cool about me is my best friend is my twin brother. In high school, I was student body president and my twin and I were prom king and queen. Also, I am fairly positive that volleyball is the best sport and ice cream is an important food group.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know this is Christ's true church. I know that Heavenly Father wanted me to be baptized and follow Christ. He blesses me when I live the Church's Standard's and seek for understanding. I have prayed to God and He has answered my prayers, sometimes immediately and sometimes in unexpected ways. I have felt the Holy Ghost testify to me that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God. Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon and I know that the book is true. I know that families are forever. I have a testimony of the temple, it is the house of the Lord, and the sacred covenants that are made there make it possible for us to return home to live with our Father in Heaven and gain eternal life. I am Mormon because it makes me happy. I am filled with so much joy everyday, and every moment that I chose the right and strive to come unto Jesus Christ. I am so grateful for the atonement. I am grateful for everything I have because I know that it comes from God. I have felt too much love and been too blessed to ever deny the truthfulness of this gospel. I love being a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by the way I dress and the vocabulary I use. I am friendly and happy. I strive to present myself in a sharp, professional way that would make my Father in Heaven proud of his daughter. I often pray to my Heavenly Father and give thanks and ask for help. Sometimes I have to stand alone to chose the right, but I know I am actually not alone, I am following my Savior, Jesus Christ. I study the scriptures everyday and that brings the spirit and makes me feel happy. My last calling, at college in my single's ward, was a Home Evening Ward Coordinator. I had a lot of fun and saw a lot of blessings come from planning Monday night activities. In a college ward, these activities replaced regular family home evening that would take place in a home. At Home Evening activities, we shared talents, socialized, and ate food. We became closer as a ward family, trying to choose the right and become closer to our Savior.
