Hi I'm Jill Gardner

May we see the light of Christ in others constantly and help them see it in themselves.

About Me

My name is Jill and I love every day. I enjoy activities such as window shopping, cooking/baking new recipes I find on Pinterest, singing too loudly, reading books that are about to become movies, taking walks, and spending time with people. I am constantly making pop culture references or quoting movies/songs. I sing non-stop (not very well, I might add) in the car, in the shower, when I'm home alone, when I'm working, when I'm in public, pretty much all the time. Some of my favorite go-to artists include Ed Sheeran and One Direction. I'm also a rare breed called a "morning person", I love waking up and starting the day. Hardly ever will you find me up past 11pm. I'm kind of a picky eater, but some of my favorite treats include cheesecake, ice cream, and chocolate chip cookies. Foods I do not like include mostly white sauces; alfredo sauce, mayonnaise, ranch, Caesar dressing, sour cream. I'm always down to go on an adventure or try new things.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were both members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints when I was born. Since I was a child, I have been taught principles of the true gospel of Jesus Christ. I have asked questions, done research, and read The Book of Mormon to find out for myself if it is true. I have taken my questions directly to our Heavenly Father, and He confirmed to me the truth of the doctrine of the church. I have experienced feelings of doubt, loneliness, alienation, sadness, and worry. I have felt empty. The only thing that is able to make me feel full is the knowledge that I have of Jesus Christ's atonement. I know that Jesus Christ died so that I can return home to Him in heaven. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith, who was able to restore the gospel on the earth. I have seen the power of the priesthood bless my life. I believe that we have a prophet today to lead and guide us through divine revelation. I am a Mormon because I know that by living the gospel, I can obtain eternal life. I am a Mormon because by living the gospel, I am able to feel joy and peace.

How I live my faith

I know that everyone is a child of our Father in Heaven. I live my faith by trying my best to treat everyone as such. I try to serve others and treat them with love and respect. I love talking to people, getting to know their stories, their accomplishments, their struggles, their interests, and their goals. While socializing is not my strongest quality, I enjoy getting to know new people and making new friends. I have a testimony that God loves all of his children, and I live my faith by trying to do the same.
