Hi I'm Susan

I joined the Church as an adult. It took me a long time to decide to join--six whole years! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a convert to the church. It took me a long time to decide to join--six years! I've never regretted my decision. I love learning new things. I teach a little bit of piano, and lead lots of different types of fitness classes. I honestly believe age is just a number. I feel better at age 62 than I did twenty years ago. Hard work and positive attitude--that's me!

Why I am a Mormon

I was "raised" in the Presbyterian Church. It was great! I went through a period of lesser involvement in church during my late teens and early twenties. When I moved to Kansas from the east coast, I was tracted out by LDS missionaries. They kept finding me wherever I lived--honestly! That lasted a total of six years. One night, after prayer, I knew that it was time to make a choice. Either join the church officially, or walk away totally. I knew the answer. I called the missionaries the next day to say I wanted to be baptized, and that was the beginning of my life as it is now. I wouldn't change a thing--not even the long time I took to make my decision. It doesn't matter how long it takes--when we sincerely ask if the gospel is true, we will be given the answer that it is. That's a promise!

How I live my faith

I have had positions in many different areas of the church. Currently I get to work a lot with the women of our ward. I also get to spend a lot of time working in our temple. It's great to have responsibilities in the areas I most enjoy!
