Hi I'm Kayla

I am currently attending college in Orem. I am really outgoing and love spontaneous adventures. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently attending college at Utah Valley University getting my bachelors degree in graphic design. My favorite hobbies consist of painting, longboarding, reading, and attending concerts. I have moved around northern Utah a lot and I really have had quite the adventure meeting new people through out my life. I always look forward to new beginnings and hope for the best even through the hardest struggles.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert of the church as of December of 2011. I started meeting with missionaries February of that year. At first I was really stubborn with the Elders and I had so many questions. They always asked me to go and pray and ask our Heavenly Father if the Book of Mormon is true. I would always go home afterwards and just shrug my shoulders and ask in a casual way if the church was true, but no answer. After having multiple discussions with about four different sets of missionaries, I started to realize that they had not only asked for me to pray but to pray with full intent and an open heart. So one night I was up late reading my very own Book of Mormon that I still cherish today and I felt the warm feeling of the spirit that I now recognize as the spirit. When I would read, I felt this overwhelming happiness and that same feeling came when I took discussions with Elders. After that brilliant feeling came again that night, I decided to pray with my full heart. So I prayed with all my energy and might asking if it was true. The answer I got came a few minutes later I got this definite feeling that it was very true and I knew to trust that answer with my whole heart. So I met with the missionaries for last time telling them I finally wanted to get baptized. Ever since I have gotten baptized my life has been so much more positive and the church has changed my life in tremendous ways. I don't know where I would be with out it. I served a mission in the Philippines and it was thee best experience to share this wonderful message with others.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday. I also join in on outside church activities such as family home evening every Monday evening. I also am currently a ward missionary and hope to spread the gospel successfully through social media:)
