Hi I'm Jared

I am from Orange County California. I love to mountain bike.I go to BYU. Leaving for Australia on May 22. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am a student at BYU in provo, Utah. I just finished my freshman year and absolutely loved it. I met so many wonderful people and made so many memories. I learned a lot about the world and about myself. In my free time like to mountain bike, lift weights, read, and socialize. I am very interested in learning new things, and meeting new people it is one of my favorite things to do. I have been called to serve in the Brisbane Australia mission and leave May 22. I have been preparing to serve a mission my entire life and now that it is finally happening I could not be more excited.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was younger I was once asked why I was a mormon, I remember my response was because. That was all, I did not have my own testimony of the Restoration of the Gospel. Now today when asked this same question, Why I am a mormon. I have an answer. I am a Mormon or a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, because I have had my own personal witness though the Holy Ghost that this Christ's Church, the kingdom of God once again established upon the face of the earth. I received this testimony not at any one particular moment or had any one particular experience, but slowly and surely. As I read and studied the doctrines of the restored gospel and really began to find out for myself the sprit time and time again bore witness to me of its truthfulness. I am a mormon because I know that God is my loving heavenly father and that Jesus Christ is my savior. This truly is their church.I know that Joseph Smith was called to be a prophet of God, and the the book that he translated The Book of Mormon is a another witness of Jesus Christ. I can testify that that fourteen year old boy did in fact see what he said he saw, and that through him the Priesthood was once again established. I know that those same priesthood keys that were administered to Joseph Smith are now held by a living prophet today, even Tomas S. Monson. I sustain him as the Lord's prophet upon the earth today and recognize he the mouthpiece through which Christ himself leads this, his church. lastly, I am a mormon because of the happiness I feel being a member of the church. Knowing that I am living my life in approval before My heavenly Father. There is no such thing as a bad day when I am filled with the light of christ. I want everyone to be able to be as happy as I am. That is my I am a mormon and why I have chosen to serve a mission. In the name of Jesus christ my savior amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through my actions. I try my very best to be a good example of a disciple of my Savior Jesus Christ to everybody I come in contact with. One of the ways I do this is obeying the commandments that have been given to us and serving others both inside and outside of the Church.
