Hi I'm Connor

I'm a student, a snowboarder, a gamer, a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the beautiful desert of Arizona. I am currently serving a mission in the Seattle, Washington area. I attend Brigham Young University (BYU) currently studying Computer Science. I am an avid snowboarder and I love playing games and anything athletic. I am an only child of sorts, coming from a somewhat blended family but I wouldn't trade it for the world. I love my family and the values they instilled in me from my youth.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always enjoyed being a Mormon. I grew up in the church and it has given me a steady base in a world of change. Being a Mormon has allowed me to build a foundation on Jesus Christ and I have gained a personal testimony of His divinity. Whenever I have had a question in my life --and as a young man just entering my 20's I have had plenty-- I have been able to turn to the doctrine of Christ and to the leaders of the church for counsel. My faith in the Gospel allows me to have the peace and comfort that comes with a knowledge of God's plan for me and my family.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through sharing my beliefs with others. I try to help others in whatever way I can, whether it be through a listening ear, some words of advice or even acts of service. I seek opportunities to bring a smile to another's face and make their life easier. Living my faith comes through a daily devotion to making decisions that I will not regret. I try to make decisions that are in line with what Christ would do.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Connor
I do believe that there is still a prophet alive today. All throughout the history of Christianity, there has been prophets to lead and guide the followers of Christ. We still need the guidance of a prophet today. God has not lost the ability to speak nor does he love us any less than those in biblical history. Through the prophet we can gain answers to current questions of the day and know how God would have us live our lives. The prophet doesn't replace our own personal relationship with Christ in anyway, but it does give us yet another source to look to for guidance. The prophet is the way for Christ to establish his "house of order" and lead his people in times of old as well as in the latter days (DC 88:119). Show more Show less

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Connor
Mormons are all about having fun! The gospel isn't meant to be a drag. Life is so full of amazing opportunities and great experiences that can be had within the bounds of God's laws. We live a life of faith which includes reading the scriptures, praying and going to church but that truly brings a lasting happiness. Having faith doesn't restrict our joy, it enhances it.
