Hi I'm Kaila

I am a Southern Girl. I love banana puddin'. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Southerner from Alabama. So yes, I do say ya'll all the time. I just finished my freshman year at college! I've played soccer since I was five years old, but truly am up to watch or play any game. Whether it's football, baseball, soccer, or some ultimate frisbee, I am game. I love sports! I also enjoy singing. I like singing anything from church music and choral Latin pieces to today's country and pop songs. I like baking sweets as well. Banana pudding is one of my favorites to make! I have been recently called to serve an 18 month long LDS mission in the Phoenix Arizona area. I absolutely cannot wait to serve the Lord!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this gospel brings happiness into my life. I know that it is by living every aspect of this gospel to the best of my ability that I can have the Spirit with me and truly be happy. I know that God has a plan for me that will help me succeed and reach my full potential. I know that the Book of Mormon and the Bible are true. I know that the stories written within their pages bring great understanding, peace, comfort, and strength into my life. I know that if you read the Book of Mormon and sincerely ask the Father if its words are true, that you will receive an answer of confirmation. I know because when I was 11 years old, I knelt on my knees, asked a humble prayer, and the Lord answered me that yes this great book is true. I continue to receive such confirmation as I read the Book of Mormon today. I know that Joseph Smith was a true Prophet. I know that we have a Prophet today, President Thomas S. Monson, who is the mouthpiece of the Lord and receives revelation for us. I know that Jesus Christ lives. I know that He suffered in Gethsemane and on the cross for everyone's sins. That it is only through His sacrifice that we can be truly forgiven and return to His presence again someday. I know that the Holy Ghost brings much comfort, peace, and love into my life. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me. I know that Jesus Christ loves me. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true and living church on the earth today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through simple daily acts. I read my scriptures and pray every day. I smile, serve, and love each person I see. I try to live in a way that others can tell how happy this gospel makes me.
