Hi I'm Jacob

I grew up in Oregon. I am a Division 1 track athlete. I love my family, And i am a Mormon.

About Me

Spending time outside is a way of life for me. I'm pretty sure I was born with a fishing pole in hand. Bass fishing is where my heart lies, although prayer and quiet moments of reflection on the lake are what I live for. In high school I played basketball, football, and threw for the track team. I have completed my freshman year at Brigham Young University. I am the first born in my family, with two little sisters following in my footsteps. My family is my life-line. I strive to live so that each morning I can look back at the previous day's efforts and say, "Mission accomplished!"

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this church because, i could not live without it. The support and comfort that i get from this gospel brings me so much joy. I know that without it i would be lost and confused. Being Mormon is more than just going to church on Sunday. It is being a light to those that are lost in the dark. Knowing the purpose of life and what happens after we die is so amazing. Family is the reason we are here. We came to earth so that we can again return and live with our eternal families. I am a Mormon, and i am proud of it.

How I live my faith

Ever since i was a wee little lad i have had a passion for this gospel. There were a couple rocky years where i had to grow out from under the wing of my parents and get a feel for the gospel myself though. I had exponential growth in the gospel during those years. Great youth programs such as EFY really helped my testimony. I would not be the man i am today without the influence of my father or my grandpa. The example they have both set for me is incredible. Living with faith takes a great deal of effort in the world of which we live in today, but the strength i get from living the gospel is a strength i would not trade for anything of this world. This church is true. Christ died for you and me. Living with faith is the only way i desire to live.
