Hi I'm Tami

I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a college student and I go to Utah State University. I attend there with two other sisters, and I'm going into Elementary and Special Education, with a music minor and a math endorsement. I come from a family of ten people, and eight kids. There are six girls and two boys, and the boys come at the end of the family. I like to do everything, and to try many things. I like to do wood working, to work on cars/mechanical stuff, as well as craft things, like blankets and making cards for special occasions. I just like to be me and to do all I can to stay me and not conform to other people. I play piano, tenor saxophone, and clarinet.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to be a Mormon because i feel different when I come to his church than to another church. I feel the power of God stronger and I am able to receive more personal revelation for myself and what I want to do in my life. I love the sense of unity that I feel in his church, and the friendships you are able to create in the many different service opportunities we have. I love the service opportunities I am able to have because of this church. I know that it's Gods true church; otherwise, I wouldn't feel so good all the time!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to stay true to my values. I Believe in taking care of our minds and our bodies (by keeping the commandments of living to Word of Wisdom and The Law of Chastity) so that we can stay healthy and be instruments in The Lords hands. I love The Lord and try to stay true to Him throughout my life. I try to have a balance of all my different hobbies, but to still keep The Lord first.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Tami
In order to know the truth of this church, you have to seek our Heavenly Father. He is the source of all truth and He is the only one that can tell you if it is true. As you go to your Heavenly Father in prayer, and ask in the name of Jesus Christ if the Book of Mormon is true, you will gain an answer. Granted, you have to do more than just pray one time. You have to pray multiple times. As you sincerely pray, with the intent that you will act on the answer that you receive, and believe that you will receive an answer, then God can do His part and give you answer of love, joy, peace, or comfort by the power of the Holy Ghost. Then from there all of your other concerns will be answered by the Holy Ghost. I have had to apply this time and again, and I know it works. Trust the promise and try it. Show more Show less

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Tami
The missionaries share the message about how doctrines and authority that were lost with the death of Christ have been restored to this earth through a modern-day prophet, Joseph smith. They teach about the happiness that is found from this knowledge that the restoration brings, and they teach how you can gain peace in this life, and how to gain eternal life in the life to come. They only come to help strengthen your faith and your family. Show more Show less
