Hi I'm Tory

I'm from Utah, born and raised in the church. I am serving a mission and in the United States Army, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am just like many other people. I love my family, my friends, and my life. Some of my favorite things to do include hiking in the mountains, biking, and camping. I love the Rocky Mountains and have the goal of climbing the tallest peaks in every continent some day. My father and I restore old cars from the 30's through the 70's together and make them look awesome. I am currently serving in the United States Army but have been called on a mission to Argentina, so I will be leaving this summer to go do that, which I am really excited for! I will rejoin the Army when I come back and continue forward in my career.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. I know that Christ lives and he loves each and every one of us. I know that Joseph Smith saw our Father and Jesus Christ and restored his true church to the Earth. I know because I have read the Book of Mormon, and taken literally the promise in Moroni 10: 3-5. I have prayed and received a witness from the Holy Ghost that what I have faith in is indeed true. I know that all men can repent of their sins and come unto Christ, and they can be made perfect in him. I know that there is a life beyond this one in which we can have the opportunity to be with our families forever and progress with them through the eternities. I know that Jesus Christ suffered and died on the cross for all of this to be possible, and I know that one day I can stand before him with a clear mind and a full heart and enter his kingdom triumphant and pure. I also know that anyone who wants these same blessings can have them, regardless of their past. All we must do is give our hearts to him and repent and be baptized, then endure to the end in faith. I say these things with a heart full of thanks to my father and in the name of his son, Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

Right now my calling in my branch is to be a branch missionary, so I get to work with the full time missionaries and teach lessons to people in my branch's area. Before this I was a primary teacher, so I got the chance to teach 6-7 year olds in Sunday school. I loved every minute of it and learned more from them than they ever learned from me.
