Hi I'm Jeremy

I am College Student,a Sports Fan, A Loving Brother to All, an Average 19 year old Guy, A Missionary and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a college student at BYU studying Chemistry. I about to go on my LDS mission into Uganda, Africa. I love sports especially basketball. I grew up in a small town in Idaho. I have worked on a farm and for a canal company. I am kinda a goof-ball. I love my family. I enjoy listening to great music and I performed in a instrumental band. I also enjoy acting. I enjoy the outdoor and exploring God's creations. I am not really good at one specific thing but I good at a lot of thing. My true talent though is working hard. I definitely not the smartest, strongest or best looking guy on the block but I have been successful because I have put 100% percent into the things I do.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church but my parent were not controlling and made me go to church. It was my choice. This has really helped me in developing a understanding of the gospel and the work Jesus has for us to do. In all of the activities and experiences, I have done, my testimony of gospel has grown and with continue to grow until I die and even then it will still grow because we are spiritual being on a human journey and God sent us on this Earth to grow and learn. The gospel is so flexible I can find a principle in everything I do. In Chemistry class or any college class in general, I have learned about how God works. He doesn't always gives us the answer to a problem. He just sometimes tells us, does your solution feel right and if it is do. If not work out the problem again until you get it right because you have a general idea what is right and wrong. In sports, I have learned that it is okay to make mistakes because we going to make them. I also learned how to work hard and endure to the end. In music and acting, I have learned how to bring in God's presence into the home so he can always be there. You get my points. It is a lifestyle that I can apply to daily activities. It is also the true church of God. That is truly why I proudly say I am Mormon because it is the true church. Whenever I do what I know is right, I can feel his spirit and love. I know because I have read the Book of Mormon and I know Jesus Christ lives. I know Joesph Smith was a true prophet of God and nothing can deny that. I know that prophet lead and guide us today and that they inspired by God. I am looking forward to the opportunity to serve a mission and I know that it will be one of the hardest thing I will ever do but I know I will never regret it. Lastly God loves us no matter what and want what is best for us and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint is the true church of God.

How I live my faith

Really I try to live my faith by example. Actions speak louder than words. I try not to judge people by looking at them as the person they could be and not how they are. Everyone isn't perfect. I have definitely made a ton of mistakes in my lifetime and will continue making mistakes in the future but that is what life is all about. Making mistakes and learning from them and trying not to do them again. Through Jesus Christ's love and sacrifice, we can all go back to live with our Father in Heaven. I really enjoy sports and when I play- I play with 110% of my abilities. Does this mean I don't make mistake in a game or practice. No way! Ask my coach, he will say that I made more mistakes than anyone on the team. The same with music and acting. We going to miss a note or line but we learn from it and move on and laugh about it later. This how I learn my faith, trying to live my life the best i can and if I stumble-I get back up again and fix the problem and move on. My religion is more than just going to church on Sundays . It is a lifestyle. We are all trying to follow the Savoir's example. Is the example sometimes tough to follow at times. Yeah but that is the beauty of his sacrifice, he helps you make up all the difference. I had a friend who made a really dumb mistake and he had to suffer the consequences. He did suffer but He felt that the world had written him off. So I go to him one day and I talked to him for a while and when I done talking to him. He asked me, " Why are you so kind to me? I have done nothing for you." I answered him in this statement," You don't have to do anything for me because I see you as Jesus Christ and God do and I want what is best for you." I don't have any special calling except the fact that I am going on a LDS mission to Uganda. I didn't go to my friend to comfort him because it was my duty as a member. I went because I loved him. Everyone I interact with I give the love that Jesus and God live because they do truly love us.
