Hi I'm Brad Witbeck

I'm the middle child (and the first-born), a reader, an actor, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

After a short space of time in Canada as a security technician by day and McDonald's worker by night, and a year of college at everyone's favorite Mormon university (I'm sure you know which it is), I'm now doing my best to serve God and everyone around me and just generally make the world around me a better place. It is my hope that I can be a blessing rather than a burden in the lives of those I meet. I love the scriptures, and talking to all people, which makes for some great conversations (: Learning is one of the most important things to me. I love it! It's funny too, because the more I learn, the more questions I feel like I have, and the more I want to learn! It's a wonderful cycle, and an endless source of entertainment. One of my favorite things to do is compliment people. It's cool to try to find a way to sincerely compliment someone, and to see how they react to it. It's great to see others smile :D Kind of like that!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because... I was born this way :D Haha, that, and personal experience has kept me in the faith and shown me that it's a great way to live, and really the best way to develop a deep, personal relationship with my Father in Heaven. I've also been coming to realize more and more that I'm a Mormon because I know that the Book of Mormon is the Word of God. That book is the keystone of all that I believe, and because I know that it is true, I also know that Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God, because God would not have allowed an unrepentant deceiver to write a book that was His word. It also has helped me come to know our Father in Heaven, the one true God, and Jesus Christ who He sent. I love it (:

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing what I can to do what God would want me to do, and hope that my efforts can make the world a better place. I also try to do what I can to be happy and help others be happy, because I'm sure that God would want all of us to be that way. After all, it's what his gospel is all about.

What is faith?

Brad Witbeck
Faith is a trust in our Father in Heaven (Proverbs 3:5-6). It is a confidence that He is personally concerned with each of our lives, and that He loves us and wants us to be happy. Faith is a positive outlook, that no matter what we may be going through, God has our best interests at heart, and will consecrate our afflictions for our gain (see 2 Nephi 2:2). Faith is the opposite of fear. It enables us to overcome obstacles that we may not have been able to overcome on our own. When we have it, it empowers us to repent and become better than we once were. As the first principle of the gospel, faith is our starting point in coming to know our Father in Heaven. We can gain more through taking the time to ask for it, and seek after it (see Matthew 7:7-8). Show more Show less
