Hi I'm Xander

I'm a Canadian, a missionary, an organist, and a son of God. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada to goodly parents who are also Canadian. We lived there for a few years and then made "the pilgrimage" to Salt Lake City. My dad went to the University of Utah, I ended up choosing to go to BYU. We briefly lived in Silver Spring, Maryland and then back in Ottawa before ending up back in Salt Lake. I love reading, singing, playing the organ (mostly for fun), and having fun. I graduated from Highland High (Go Rams!) and enjoyed a year of school at BYU before leaving on a mission. I now serve in the California Irvine Mission, bringing the gospel to the people of Orange County. I absolutely love my mission and love seeing the joy that the gospel brings to people's lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I recognize Christ's sacrifice, and what His Atonement can do for us. I also recognize the truth of living prophets in this day and age, and support President Thomas Monson as the current prophet. I know that Joseph Smith restored this Church and translated the Book of Mormon, and that the Book of Mormon is definitely true scripture. I've seen countless times the benefits and blessings of being a member of Christ's Church. I don't think my family could have made it through the things we have without it, and I know that I wouldn't be where and who I am today without the knowledge that I have.

How I live my faith

I try to always be an example of the believers. By choosing to share the joy that I have, my own faith grows daily. I live my faith by acting and doing, and I have seen throughout my life that doing the right things brings a lot of happiness! I could write a whole novel, but it would take me a while.
