Hi I'm Jessie

I was born and raised in the church and I didn't appreciate it until my late teens. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to sing and play my ukulele. Music and anything Disney is my passion. I love to ballroom dance and absolutely love to laugh. What makes me the most happy is seeing other people so happy or making them happy myself; doing things for others gives me so much joy as well. I am a Cosmetologist and am working in a salon and working everyday to make my own salon in my own house someday.

Why I am a Mormon

I never really doubted that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was a true church and that it contained the fulness of the gospel. The only reason I say this so boldy is because the Lord made it known to me boldy. I did not receive this answer all at once, the only reason that I gained an answer and continue to gain it every day is because I put in the effort to know it for myself. My friend put it this way, leaning on other peoples testimonies is like using their toothbrush. It's just not something you should do because it's their toothbrush, not yours, get your own toothbrush! This reminded me that I do, in a sense, need to get my own "toothbrush" and use it often. To this day I have asked the Lord in prayer to confirm to me if this is the right path and he always answers me in little ways that have built me my own personal testimony. My testimony used to be the size of a puddle of water until I alone decided to let the Lord put some more drops in. My goal is to grow my puddle into an ocean of experiences, trials, triumphs, and faith that will be a witness to all that I got to know my Savior better than I did yesterday. He is my light and my strength and I love being a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I strive every day to keep God's commandments and to get to know my Savior better than I did yesterday. I also strive to live what I preach so that I can be a true disciple of Jesus Christ. I don't always accomplish this goal but I do my best and that is all God asks.
