Hi I'm Camille

I love to play the oboe and I am studying to be a music teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student studying to become a music teacher, probably for middle school or high school bands. My hobbies are water skiing, growing flowers, and reading. I love history but I am not too fond of math. My family enjoys watching detective shows and movies when we are together. I enjoy discussing controversial topics but I do not like arguing. I am relatively extroverted. When I was in high school, I won a full tuition scholarship to study music for six weeks by getting the most votes on a music video starring me dressed up like a princess.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to live the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I have read the Book of Mormon and I know that it is true through the witness of the Spirit of the Lord. I have heard Thomas S. Monson, the prophet on the earth today, speak and that same spirit bore witness of the divinity of his calling. Also, I know that living the commandments and following the prophet's counsel has led me to great happiness. I find great joy in hope that the gospel brings to my life because of the teaching that families can be together forever and that through Jesus Christ we can live with our Heavenly Father again.

How I live my faith

While at school I participated in a program that organized girls to visit one another each month to check in and provide service. It was an amazing opportunity to step out of my comfort zone to serve others. I ended up making my best friends that way. One of the girls I visited got sick during the semester and I was able to help her out by making her dinners.

What are Mormon Temples used for?

Temples are used to learn more about returning to live with God and making promises with him. Church members also perform baptisms and other sacred services on behalf of their ancestors which they did not have the chance to perform for themselves. Church members also go to the temple seeking answers to their prayers because they can feel close to God in his holy house. Show more Show less
