Hi I'm Andrew

I grew up all over the US, I'm a nerd, and I love to be myself. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a man of simple tastes. I am a lover of music, both in listening to and in singing. I love to act and create stories. Writing and reading is one of my favorite escapes, and I believe that they can be a doorway to new ways of thinking! I am also a moderate outdoorsman, with a love of camping and hiking. My real passion is for all things nerd. I am way into science fiction, and consider video games the finest form of media entertainment. I served my mission in Macon, Georgia and Cuiabá, Brazil. I am studying at Brigham Young University, and am loving life!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but that is not what makes me a Mormon. I was raised by my parents to know the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and abide by it's principles, and though that helped my progression, it is not the reason why I am what I am. I am a Mormon, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, because I know that it is the true church of Jesus Christ on the earth today. I know it because I have studied the Book of Mormon intently, and have received a manifestation from the Holy Ghost that it is true. I know it because I have felt my Savior's love for me as I repented for any sins I had committed. I have seen the miracles the gospel has wrought in my life and in the lives of others, and for that reason I went on a mission. I want to share the gospel and my conviction of it's truth with everyone I meet, because I know how much it will help them. I love the Church, and I am and always will be proud to say that I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Being raised in the church, I always considered myself to be "living the faith". It wasn't until I received my first official church calling as a Deacon's quorum president that I realized that to live my faith, I have to actually adapt my life to the faith to be in greater harmony with God's will. Since then, I have made sure to always be as faithful as I can. I attend church every single week, I live worthy of my temple recommend, and I seek for guidance from the Lord through prayer. Now that I am on my mission, living my faith has become more important than ever. In order to help people to become fully converted to Christ, I must be as spiritually in-tune as I can. I study the scriptures intently, and pray constantly to my Heavenly Father to inspire me with what I need to do to serve Him better.
