Hi I'm Makena

Im from Utah, I love to travel the world. Im a Mormon

About Me

I have lived in Utah all my life, but I love to travel and visit many amazing countries. I enjoy meeting different people and encountering different cultures. I enjoy playing any kind of sport, and being outdoors. I graduated high school a year ago in 2012, did one year of college and now I am about to serve a mission for 18 months in Orlando Florida.

Why I am a Mormon

Ever since I was little I have been taught the Gospel and I have always know it to be true. My conversion was nothing big and didn't happen in one single moment. It was by small and simple things that I do everyday in my life that invites the spirit. The spirit bring happiness and peace into my life, and testify that these things are true. I have a testimony that I know this Gospel is true. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God, and that he saw God the Father and HIs Son. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that through the Prophet Joseph Smith he was able to translate it by the Power of God. I love reading the Book Of Mormon, it has blessed my life and given me comfort. I believe in the power of prayer. I know that the Jesus Christ lives and loves us, that through him were are able to return and live with our Heavenly Father. If we continually relay on Him and follow Him he will bless our lives and strengthen us.

How I live my faith

I like to participate in activities that invite the spirit. One of the activities I enjoy is service projects. I take pleasure in helping people. To know your making a difference in someone else's life makes me happy. I feel joy and I draw closer to the person im serving and to my Savior. For my job I push wheel chairs at the airport and I love it, helping someone walk where they need to because they cant physically do it themselves. You learn so much about the person your serving and you grow an instant love for them.
