Hi I'm Isaac

I grew up in Southern California. I'm a runner. I'm a writer. I'm an older brother. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the eldest child in my family, with two younger brothers. I love to write. I want to be a journalist so I can interact with interesting people, travel, and tell stories on a wider scale. Music has always been a passion of mine, and I play piano, bass, and ukelele. I also led a mens singing group at my high school. I'm a long-distance runner and an avid ultimate frisbee player, and I'm a lifeguard and a swim instructor at my local pool.

Why I am a Mormon

My religion means everything to me. It gives me a sense of purpose in this world, and an understanding that my Heavenly Father loves me and looks after me. Knowing that God has provided a plan of happiness, where I can have an eternal family, is such a comfort and a blessing amidst tragedy and sorrow. Being a Mormon helps provide me with a moral compass and a strong desire to be a better older brother, a better son, and a better friend.

How I live my faith

I helped to plan and organize activities for other college students, such as weekly get-togethers where people could enjoy each other's company and get to know the members of our ward family better. It's a small thing, but the message of Christ is one of peace, love, and understanding, and these kinds of activities help others to feel his spirit more readily. I'm currently preparing to serve a two-year mission speaking the Spanish language. I'll be seeking and teaching interested individuals more about the Mormon church and our beliefs, helping them to find peace and happiness through the gospel of Jesus Christ.
