Why I am a Mormon

While I have grown up in the church, my life hasn't always been a field of roses. I grew up with a stepmom after my own mother died of cancer when I was 5. There were harder times ahead because of that change, but I have learned and witnessed the changes the Gospel can bring to those who are willing to be changed through it. The gospel allows me to grow and become a better person when I allow trials and challenges to refine me. I can testify through numerous experiences in my life that God is real and He has a prophet that leads this church. It is comforting to know that we are not left in the dark to find happiness and peace. I am a member of this church because I have lived it and have seen the blessings that come from it. I am not perfect, but I strive to be. Christ teaches me that I can do all things through Him, and I fervidly believe that. I know that only through Christ I can be saved if I come to Him through repentance. I know and love the Savior and would never compromise my devotion to Him for anything of this world.

How I live my faith

Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is a lifestyle. There is no greater happiness than living it in its entirety. I have had a few leadership positions in the church, all which have really humbled me! It has always given me space to grow and improve in every aspect of my life. My most impactful service was my 18 month mission where I had the privilege of inviting others to come closer to Christ through the restored gospel.
