Hi I'm Sam Fifita

Raised Tongan. Born in Long Beach, CA. Grew up in Aurora, CO. Serving a mission in Fort Worth, TX. I beast at rugby. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I love my family! I have a family of 10. 7 boys and my little sister, shes the youngest. I'm #3! My little siblings love to empty my wallet on themselves. I'm Tongan but born in the states so I'm a little watered down...one day I'll speak the language. Like the typical Polynesian I love to jam out to reggae, especially with the fam and my close friends. I went to Colorado State University-Fort Collins for 2 years. Majored in...rugby :) One day I'll go big with that, I just need to stop being lazy. I put all that to the side for a couple years to serve a full-time mission in Fort Worth Texas.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon simply because knowing that and how I can live with my family forever brings me happiness! Growing up, I never took the older sibling position serious. I never took church serious. After moving out my parents home a few years ago I thought that was it for religion in my life. God works in mysterious ways. Somehow in my 2nd year of college I was put in a small situation where I had no options but to depend on help from people who I knew were Mormons. For months I thought they were all weird and I didn't like to be around them. But over time of just being around them I noticed that they were always happy even though not living to the worldly customs and it made me happy. By their example to me, I know that living the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only way to be happy. It's more than a temporal (moment) happiness, it's an eternal happiness. One that I strive to be an example of to my family, friends, and brothers and sisters everywhere in the world.

How I live my faith

As one of the older siblings I try my best to set an example for all of my family, especially the little ones. I was the first in my family to go to college but thats on hold for now. I'm also the first to go out on a mission so I've been the ginny pig for a few years now. Even though both college and a mission never crossed my mind growing up, I chose to be the first to do these things to let my family know that it is possible. College is possible. A mission is possible. Anything is possible if your heart is in the right place. I'm living my faith in a way that those who don't know Jesus Christ but know me, know Jesus Christ because they know me.
