Hi I'm Krystal

I grew up in Idaho and I attend BYU-Idaho. I love to cook, be outdoors and spend time with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to be outside! I really enjoy playing sports, going camping and hiking. I enjoy going swimming and boating. I love to be with my family as much as possible and I especially enjoy going on long family vacations. I have been attending college at Brigham Young University-Idaho studying Exercise Physiology. I have chosen to serve a LDS mission and I have been called to serve in Tennessee.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon, but I believe that even those who have been raised as Mormons come to a point where we have to decide for ourselves what we truly believe. I came to this point not too long ago and I have decided for myself that I want to be a Mormon and I am proud to be a Mormon. I know that the teachings of the Mormon church are true. I know that we have a Heavenly Father who truly loves us and is very aware of what we are going through. I know that He watches over us and wants us to return to live with Him. I know that we have a Savior, Jesus Christ, who atoned for us so that He could experience our pains, trials and temptations so that He could know how to help us through them. I know that Jesus Christ atoned for our sins, giving us an opportunity to repent and turn our hearts to His will. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and because of Joseph Smith, who was a prophet, we wouldn't have the Book of Mormon today. I know that we have a prophet on the earth today and that he receives revelation and guidance from our Heavenly Father, his name is Thomas S. Monson. I know that by living the teachings of the restored gospel we will find true happiness and we will return to live with our loving Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I currently attend a singles branch and I serve as one of the teachers. I love to teach and I love being able to talk with others about my beliefs and sharing my testimony with them. I also serve as a visiting teacher, so I am assigned to watch over certain women in the ward and I visit them each month to make sure that they are doing well and I make sure that any needs they have are taken care of. I also participate in a council that talks about all the members of the branch and their needs.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Krystal
I have grown up hearing the stories of Christ's ministry in the Bible, but I recently took a New Testament class and I heard all these stories again. This time, however, I was ready and willing to learn so I wasn't just hearing the stories I was learning who Christ is and I was learning about the history and circumstances behind the stories. Taking this class was such a blessing, I learned more about my Savior and of His perfect love for each of us. I also was able to reread the stories of Christ in the Book of Mormon and I continued to expereince His love. I also learned that to increase my faith in Jesus Christ I need to strive to become more like Him. In order to do that I need to learn who He is and what He teaches. To increase my faith in Jesus Christ I strive to be obedient to His teachings and continue to read and learn of Him. I also pray for a knowledge and a relationship with my Savior. Show more Show less
